Vodacom and YouTube have come together to help you save data while watching your favourite music videos, tech broadcasts or funny cat videos online. 

Vodacom now offers the chance to purchase Night Owl Data, which lets you spend less on data while scheduling your favourite YouTube videos to download while you sleep. Scheduled videos will automatically be saved between 00:00 and 05:00am, and will use your available Night Owl Data to view.  

YouTube Smart Offline allows you to schedule videos to save offline overnight while you sleep, as your Night Owl Data allows for faster data speeds at more affordable rates. Just remember to buy a Night Owl data bundle and make sure you're not connected to Wi-Fi before scheduling videos.  

Your favourite videos at your fingertips

YouTube Smart Offline is simple enough for the whole family to use. Find your favourite video or one you still want to watch and tap the 'Offline' icon to schedule it to be saved overnight. Choose the video resolution, then select 'Save overnight' to use your Night Owl Data between midnight and 5am.

Keep your cellphone data on at night and your videos will download automatically while you sleep. To access the videos or playlists that have been added to Offline the next morning, tap on 'Saved Videos' in the account tab of the YouTube mobile app. Then lie back and enjoy the best in entertainment the net has to offer.
