There are more than 200 different kinds of cancer that affect different parts and organs in the body. Some cancers affect areas such as glands or blood – for example, lymphoma (cancer of the lymphatic system) and leukaemia (cancer of the blood). But breast cancer is the number one cancer affecting South African women. One in seven women is diagnosed with the disease.

Know what is normal for your body
Do a monthly breast self-examination (BSE)
Be able to identify and detect any possible warning signs and symptoms of breast cancer.
