Red is Vodacom's exclusive flagship contract programme. When you sign up for Red, you know you're getting the absolute best deal. There's a Red contract designed to meet your needs, whether it's unlimited talk time or SMSes, or a large data allocation that will keep you connected all month long. 

But there's more to Red than good value - being a Red customer gives you access to a world of benefits and special service that's exclusive to you. 

Premium Service Desk 

When you call our customer care line from your Red phone on 111, it's automatically detected that you're a Red customer, and you're put right to the front of the queue. Our friendly agents are on standby 24/7 to help you with any queries you may have. 

Priority Queuing 

We know your time is precious. That's why, in selected Vodacom stores, as a Red customer you'll be able to jump the queue and be helped as soon as a staff member is available. 

Like for Like loan phone

Sometimes, life happens, and your phone needs repair. When you bring your phone in for us to fix, we'll give you a phone with the same operating system as a loan phone, to make the transition as seamless as possible. That means if you bring in an iPhone, we'll loan you an iPhone, for example.

Roam the world with Travel Saver 

When you roam on Vodacom Travel Saver in selected countries, you can make and receive calls for as low as R2.50 per minute and use data from as little as R2/MB, for just R30 per day. Data can be used on your phone, tablet, or even your dongle. 

How much does Travel Saver cost?

There are two Vodacom Travel Saver price zones, covering over 180 countries. Depending on where you are travelling, different rates will apply. Find out your destination's zone here. 

How do I activate and deactivate Travel Saver?

  • Travel Saver is only available to Contract customers who've activated basic roaming services.
  • SMS ‘Roamstatus’ to 123 to check if your roaming service is active. If you haven't activated roaming, call Customer Care on 082 135. 

There are three ways to activate Travel Saver:                      

  • SMS 'Save' to 123 or 31050.
  • Download the VodaPay App and select ‘My Services’ > ‘Manage Services’ > ‘Calling Services’. 
  • Log in to My Vodacom and select ‘Services’ > ‘Calling Services’.
  • To deactivate Travel Saver, SMS 'Saveoff' to 123 or 31050.
