Over the past weeks we have seen incomprehensible acts of violence committed under the banner of xenophobia. We’ve also seen a South Africa unite during this time of turmoil, with people joining hands and helping out where they can.

One of the organisations we would like to commend for their brave and selfless involvement is the Gift of the Givers Foundation – they stepped in to help displaced foreigners by erecting refugee camps across KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng. 

To date, thousands of families have fled their homes fearing for their lives and found shelter at these centres, which are run and maintained by volunteers.

Vodacom has partnered with the Gift of the Givers and requests our customers to help feed and care for these families.

Let’s take a stand against xenophobia and show the world that we are a united and caring nation.
