Fibre networks are rolling out at speed all over South Africa, promising a giant leap forward in terms of network speed, stability and latency. It’s the next-generation broadband internet. And in today’s day and age, it is evident that having home internet enables us to connect to so much more in the comfort of our households, from streaming YouTube videos, helping little ones with homework and video calling loved ones to working from home and ‘Netflix and chill’.
In light of this, Vodacom has expanded its business to create solutions that focus more on meeting our customers’ home internet needs. One of the key areas for the year has been to provide home internet connectivity to customers through Fibre to the Home (FTTH) and converged offers such as Vodacom One – a combination of FTTH and mobile devices for the family. The converged offers promise connectivity, safety and entertainment, so that you and your loved ones can enjoy more moments together.
Whatever your needs, Vodacom Fibre gives you instant, superfast and uninterrupted connectivity that will transform the way you live, work and play. Check out our new, improved price plans for instant, superfast and uninterrupted connectivity.
Vodacom Fibre is available in any fibre-connected neighbourhood. Service providers we work with include: Vumatel, Link Africa, Openserve, Century City Connect, MetroFibre, SA Digital Villages, MTN Waterfall Access Network, Octotel, Frogfoot, LinkAfrica and, most recently, TT Connect. This means Vodacom customers will now be able to access Vodacom Fibre Broadband, Fixed Voice as well as other value-added services through these partners.
According to Vodacom FTTX Managing Executive Leisel Ramjoo, Vodacom’s ‘own the home’ fibre strategy remains a critical part of our fibre infrastructure expansion strategy. Vodacom anticipates significant growth in this area and in addition to investing significantly in our own infrastructure, we will continue to sign up additional network providers.
