Vodacom's commitment to our employees

This Workers Day (1st of May) Vodacom would like to pay tribute to our dedicated staff, who are working tirelessly throughout these trying times.

This Workers Day (1st of May) Vodacom would like to pay tribute to our dedicated staff, who are working tirelessly throughout these trying times.

Below are just some of the ways we aim to support our staff through different facets of their work and personal lives:

All our employees have access to physical, mental health and wellbeing support

 Wellbeing

Our Employee Engage App features a Corona Virus FAQs tab, with information on fitness, nutrition and ergonomics, as well as emotional and medical support.  Our Wellbeing team run an informative Workplace Health & Wellbeing Group, with great health tips and a #FitChallengethat can be done at home.

EAP

Our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is available 24/7 and offers a little extra support to our employees to help them manage life’s everyday challenges. It is available by telephone, email, instant messaging and online for free.

ICASA-on-the-go app

  • The ICASA-on-the-go app allows users to view both health and wellness information from an extensive video content library.
  • The service is available 24/7 and users can call or simply request a call from a professional counsellor at any time. You can also chat via a secure live text platform with an ICAS professional such as a counsellor, medical professional or legal advisor for assistance. The app now provides you with the option to call ICAS directly within the app (remember calls are free from both cell phones and landlines). If you prefer, you can request an ICAS professional to call you at a time that best suits you.
  • As well as the above, the new Assessment Centre has been provided to assist you to better understand your stress and how to more effectively manage your life.

We promote smart working for all employees

Essential staff on site

We have taken extensive hygiene measures to protect the health and safety of essential staff who are continuing to work at our offices over the lockdown period and have implemented Social Distancing protocol.

Staff working from home
