How to use a Social Ticket

Vodacom offers affordable and specialised data bundles with our Ticket bundles. Here’s all you need to know about the Social Ticket.

Vodacom offers various Ticket bundles, from the Video Ticket to the Music Ticket, but when it comes to using your favourite social media networks such as Twitter and Facebook, it’s the Social Ticket that’s important. Here’s all you need to know about Vodacom’s Social Ticket.

What is a Social Ticket?

The Social Ticket makes it more affordable for you to use your favourite social media sites, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook Messenger, Tinder and Tik Tok. Note that it does not include WhatsApp.

Depending on the bundle you choose, Social Tickets are valid for one hour, seven days or one month from purchase. Once your Ticket is active, accessing the qualifying apps no longer draws from your general data balance. When your Ticket time period expires, your usage reverts to regular data packages or billing. If you follow a link outside the qualifying social media app or use non-qualifying apps and sites during your Ticket time period, you will be charged regular data rates.

How much does a Social Ticket cost?

The cost of your Social Ticket depends on the duration of the Ticket. A one-hour Ticket costs R5, a seven-day Ticket costs R35 and a one-month Ticket costs R60.

How to buy a Vodacom Social Ticket

You can buy Tickets in the VodaPay App, on the MyVodacom website, or by dialling *123# on the Just4U platform. The Social Ticket is available to all Vodacom customers on prepaid, contract and top-up plans.
