Here’s a pop of red in yet another tantalising episode of ‘Baking with Ous’ Thandi’. Ous’ gives internet sensation and serial YouTuber, Theodora Lee, something delicious to vlog about and that’s her Red Velvet Cake Pops.

Red and White Cake Pops
- 1 prebaked un-iced red velvet cake
- 125g icing sugar
- 2 tablespoons full-fat cream cheese
- 400g white chocolate
- Lolli sticks
Blitz the cooled cake into cake crumbs in a food processor or break it up by hand until there are no lumps left.
In a food processor or mixing bowl work the sifted icing sugar into the cream cheese until smooth. Add the cake crumbs until the mixture forms a dough. Roll the dough into balls about 30g each, then place them on a plate. Cover with cling film and chill for at least 2 hours.
Put the chocolate in a bowl and melt over a double boiler. Now dip the end of each stick into the melted chocolate before pushing it halfway into each of the chilled cake ball. Allow this to set for a minute or two before dipping the cake balls into the melted chocolate until it reaches the stick. Tap off any excess chocolate. Decorate with sprinkles and leave them to dry by poking the empty end of the stick into a polystyrene block (taking care not to let them touch each other until dry) Once dry, wrap your pops with lollipop-style cellophane bags or store them in an airtight container.
