Top business features of the Sony Xperia Z5

The new Sony Xperia Z5 has upped the smartphone game. Here's why it's a top choice for your business.

Sony has just unveiled its new smartphone, the Sony Xperia Z5 . You'll see it touted everywhere as James Bond's phone as it features in the new 007 film, Spectre.

But aside from the obvious cool factor, what does the Sony Xperia Z5  offer users for their business needs?

We take a closer look.

Big on battery

One of the biggest problems for smartphone users is battery life. Luckily the Xperia Z5 has an excellent battery life (it has an 2 900mAh battery), no matter if you're on conference calls all day and need to check your email every few minutes.

Sony says that you can get two days' of usage on one charge. But even if you're putting a lot of usage pressure on the battery, you'll get a full day out of the battery life and then some.

The Quick Charge feature is perfect if you're on the go, as after 45 minutes your battery will be fully charged. Standby mode also conserves the battery life effectively.

Safety first

If you're concerned about security, the Xperia Z5 now has an integrated fingerprint sensor, ensuring you and only you have access to the information on your smartphone.

In fact, Techradar.com says the fingerprint sensor is one of the best ways it's been included in a smartphone to date.

Size wise

The Xperia Z5 comes with 3GB of RAM and the addition of a 200GB microSD card can up your storage space to epic levels. This not only means you can save and backup large files but it will be very difficult to fill all that space, so there's little chance you'll run out of storage.

Android 5.1 Lollipop

The Sony Xperia Z5 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, which has a number of excellent features aimed at business users.

Security is paramount, and Lollipop automatically turns on encryption for new devices.

Android Smart Lock is another useful feature: you can lock your smartphone via Bluetooth.

If you're in a meeting, you can use the volume button to activate Priority Mode, which only allows notifications from pre-chosen contacts or apps.

You can also have multiple 'pins', and therefore users – ideal if a smartphone is shared among staff on call for example. You can have a business and a personal profile on the same phone.

Looks the business

The sleek smartphone is angular, light and thin, while the frosted glass backing adds a discreetly stylish touch.

The screen size (5.2-inches) and full HD (1,920x1,080-pixel) resolution means you'll see images and text clearly and crisply displayed.
All in all, the features of the Sony Xperia Z5   combine to make it a very usable smartphone, one which you, and your business, could benefit from.
