Vodacom Now!

After the success of the Vodacom Smart Kicka, it's time for an upgrade. The 2014 edition was Vodacom's first branded smartphone: it was small but it packed a punch! It opened up the amazing world of smartphones to on-the-go-people looking for a kicking upgrade from their old phone without breaking their wallets. Two years later, the Smart Kicka 2 has upgraded internals and has a fresh new look.

Design

The Smart Kicka 2 brings the modern smartphone look to a whole new price point. Micro laser-etching technology was used on the back cover for an optical flip effect that makes the exclusive rhombus pattern shimmer as the device is rotated. In other words, it looks amazing and won't slip out of your fingers. The newly trimmed down body is like a little dance floor for your fingers.

Features and OS

It wouldn't be a smartphone without a smart operating system. The Smart Kicka 2 comes standard with Android 5.1. As with its older brother, the Vodacom Kicka 2 offers a crisp, contrast-rich 3.5-inch HVGA touch display and a 1 400mAh replaceable battery. The 4GB of on-board storage can be expanded by up to 32GB via the microSD card slot beneath the battery. The device comes preinstalled with the full range of Google apps and social media apps such as Facebook and Twitter.

With the Vodacom app store you also have access to the best local content. Check your balance and buy airtime or bundles through the My Vodacom app, access Vodacom’s cloud services, and browse the Vodacom Live! portal for the latest in mobile entertainment.

User experience

This phone is all about getting more South Africans online. It’s the complete package, perfect for first-time smartphone users and anyone who needs extra cash in their back account. The easy-to-use second home screen makes it easy to set up the phone to your liking, and soon you'll be multi-tasking and emailing like a boss.

The Smart Kicka 2 is a no-nonsense device that helps you get stuff done. It gets you connected and it handles apps with ease. The battery life of this little device is impressive, to say the least. And at its low price, it's now easier than ever before to get in the fast lane and make things happen.
