New phone roundup

Wondering what's new from Vodacom? Here's a quick roundup of some of the new phones and tablets you can look forward to.

This month we welcome the following devices to the Vodacom Network. All of them will be available in store and online.

Nokia Lumia 530

Replacing the hugely popular Nokia Lumia 520, this is the most affordable Windows Phone on the market. It features a 4-inch screen, a 5MP rear camera and has 4GB of storage which can be expanded up to 128GB with MicroSD cards. It’s a budget-friendly device that will give you a decent smartphone experience – and you’ll be able to customise it with a range of colourful shells.

The Nokia Lumia 530 will be available to Vodacom customers in store and online from 12 September. Get it on Vodacom uChoose Flexi 100 for R129 per month or on Prepaid for a recommended retail price of R1 609.

Exclusive: Samsung Galaxy Alpha

Available exclusively to Vodacom customers until January 2015, this sexy smartphone will be available in store and online from 15 September.

The first phone from Samsung to feature a full metal casing, in the looks department this premium device gets 10 out of 10. The 4.7-inch Samsung Galaxy Alpha has a 720p Super AMOLED display, a powerful processor together with 2GB of RAM and runs Android 4.4.4 (KitKat). Read our first impressions post for more information.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha will be available on Vodacom Smart S for R499 per month and has a recommended retail price of R9 979.

Exclusive deals

 

  • Vodacom World: The first 100 customers to purchase the Samsung Galaxy S5 mini at Vodacom World will receive free Samsung Level on-ear headphones from 7 September.
  • Online: The first 100 customers to either upgrade or get a new contract on the Samsung Galaxy S5 mini will receive free Samsung Level on-ear headphones from 7 September.
