As a Red client, you benefit from the best-value data plans. Now, you can share and double your data with Red Family Share.
Red Family Share enables you, as a Red client, to share your data allocation with members of your family (or really, really close friends). They just need to be Vodacom contract or top-up customers. It means keeping your loved ones connected, all under the umbrella of your great-value Red plan.
Which plans are eligible?
Any Red plan with 10GB or more of included monthly data is eligible. That means if you are on a Red MORE Data plan, Red VIP+ plan or Red Premium+ plan, you’re entitled to share that data. Red Professional+ and Red Executive+ plans also qualify.
How does it work?
Eligible Red clients can now share their data allocation with up to six people, as long as they are Vodacom customers on contract, or a uChoose Top-Up plan.
When you share, you’ll be presented with a choice of data bundle sizes to share - from 100MB to a generous 20GB. You just need to make sure that you have the required amount of data left in your allocation for that month.
You can only share your recurring allocation, not a once-off data bundle, and you can’t share your voice minutes or SMS bundle. The data will be valid for the remainder of the month in which it is shared - for example, if you share data on 5 April, the data will be valid until the end of April.
To use Red Family Share, there is fee of R25 per month per person you send data to - and you only pay when you use the service.

Double your data
As an extra benefit, if you use Red Family Data share, you’ll get a Night Owl allocation to the same value as your anytime data - that means if you have 10GB in your price plan, you’ll be given an additional 10GB to use between midnight and 5am. (See the Night Owl Ts&Cs here.)
