The USSD platform also offers a premium option for a cost of 99 cents per week. Apart from team news and updates, users on the premium option receive team lineups, live game stats AND are rewarded with either data, airtime, SMS bundles or Vouchercloud shopping vouchers every time their team wins. To gain a foothold in the world of social media, @VodacomSoccer on Twitter was established in August 2015 and has shown unprecedented growth since its launch. In just 18 months, it has reached over 18 600 followers and shows no signs of slowing down. 

@VodacomSoccer gives both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates fans an exclusive look into their team and supplies its followers with unique content which cannot be seen anywhere else. Keeping in line with Vodacom’s drive to reward soccer fans, the Twitter handle also offers regular competitions where Chiefs and Pirates merchandise, handsets and Vodacom products are up for grabs.
