Vodacom Origins of Golf tournament tees off

A Ready Business is always on the ball and ready for the future. Vodacom Origins of Golf is an opportunity to take your business and your game to the next level

Vodacom Origins of Golf tees off on 26 July at the Wild Coast Sun Country Club near Durban – the first of six regional stops around South Africa. The series of pro-am tournaments give amateurs the chance to play alongside some of the leading golfers in South Africa, as part of the winter leg of the Sunshine Tour.

The Sunshine Tour is one of the six leading men’s tours which make up the international Federation of PGA Tours.

Vodacom Origins of Golf starts in KwaZulu-Natal, and continues around the country:

  • Arabella Hotel & Spa, Western Cape - 15-17 August
  • Sishen Golf & Country Club, Northern Cape - 5-7 September
  • Simola Golf Estate, Western Cape - 26-28 September
  • Euphoria Golf Estate, Limpopo - 17-19 October
  • St Francis Links, Eastern Cape - 31 October - 2 November

Hole in one for business

The event doesn’t only offer a chance to show off hard-won golfing skills, but also an opportunity to network and build key business relationships.

Vuyani Jarana, Chief Officer Vodacom Business, is looking forward to the chance to meet customers old and new. He says: ‘This tournament is the opportunity for us to interact with golfers when they are on and off the field.'

A round of golf is also time and space away from the office to consider one of the key challenges facing businesses small and large: predicting and being Ready for the future. Change is happening at an unprecedented rate – to thrive in an uncertain world, businesses need to be flexible, responsive and always connected.

With Vodacom Business, your Ready Business is empowered with technology, and confidently connected everywhere. With a portfolio of total communication services, Vodacom is uniquely placed to help businesses be Ready for the future.

At Vodacom Origins of Golf, amateur golfers can improve their swing and their business game by connecting with Vodacom account managers and finding out how they score on the Ready Business Index (RBI).

The RBI is an online tool businesses can use to ensure they are equipped with the right technology to compete in this fast market. The tool enables small and medium enterprises to assess their level of competitiveness in technological terms, cultural attitudes, IT solutions and infrastructure, as well as process and procedures that enable agility and adaptation within the business environment.

The Ready Business Index is a great place to start learning about what a business need to win in the new age of technology-enabled business.
