Introducing The Vodacom World Events Venue

Vodacom’s premier eventing space, Vodacom World Events, is located at Vodacom World in Midrand, just off the N1 between Sandton (Johannesburg) and Centurion (Pretoria). It's had a 5-star grading for 17 consecutive years from the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa, and is fully accessible for wheelchair users.

And it’s not just one space: you have a range of choices from function rooms to the rooftop terrace to the famous Vodacom Dome. Each venue is fully customisable, and each has plug-and-play functionality, allowing a group of presenters to share the same space seamlessly.

The Famous Vodacom Dome

The Vodacom Dome is Vodacom World Events’ signature space. It's versatile, with large dressing rooms, kitchen facilities, and a reliable power supply. Its 1 100 m² floor space can be set up as a Banquet Hall that can accommodate 600 guests (550 if you add a dance floor, or 500 if you add a buffet). The Vodacom Dome can also be configured for cocktails (800 guests), as a cinema (1000 guests), or as a classroom (600 guests). It also hosts exhibitions, with room for as many as 35 stands (3m x 3m).

Beyond the Vodacom Dome

Other than the Dome, you’ll find Vodacom World Events’ smaller (but still spacious) conference and event venues. These include the tiered, cinema-style Vodacom Connect 100 and 200, each of which has double-volume ceilings and are fully equipped for AV presentations. Both have space for 188 guests, and Vodacom Connect 200 has wheelchair access to the stage.

The Connect 500 North and South rooms are ideal for conferences, banquets and exhibitions. Connect 500 North and South have space for 500 guests each, but the two rooms can easily be combined into one large open space that fits up to 1000 guests.

Alternatively, you can combine Connect 500 South with the Roof Terrace space. This gives you an elegant inside/outside space that allows for cocktails or sundowners on the Vodacom World rooftop terrace, overlooking Midrand.

Another Versatile Event Venue Option

The four Gig Rooms offer a range of options, allowing you to host 50 guests standing per room, or 50 in a cinema-style space. You can also fit 40 people per room into a schoolroom-style space, or 60 in a banquet space. Another option is to combine the four Vodacom Gig Rooms into one, which will quadruple your space.
