How do VodaBucks work?

VodaBucks is Vodacom’s multi-award-winning rewards programme that makes it fun and easy for Vodacom customers to get rewarded and enjoy amazing deals.

VodaBucks also refers to the in-app currency you can earn, spend, or convert to cash on the VodaPay app or via USSD. Please note that you can only purchase data and airtime products on USSD, while the VodaPay app allows you to spend VodaBucks on an array of products in the VodaStore.

How to earn more VodaBucks

To start earning VodaBucks, you need to sign up on the VodaPay app or via USSD (dial *133# and follow the prompts). Once you’ve done this there are loads of ways to earn VodaBucks.

Use Vodacom services: Simply pay your bill on time, recharge your airtime, or buy bundles, and you will automatically earn VodaBucks.

Daily V-Ups: These are instant rewards you can win daily, simply by swiping or tapping your screen in the VodaPay app. You'll automatically get three free V-Ups every day. If you registered via USSD, you only get one V-Up per day.

V-Up Achiever: You can earn even more VodaBucks by hitting a weekly goal. Best of all: you get to choose which goals you want to aim for. You also get to choose your reward – instant VodaBucks (tempting!) or a mystery box, which could contain goodies like restaurant vouchers, movie tickets, and more.

Ways to use your VodaBucks

Wondering what to do with the VodaBucks you’ve earned?

First of all, Bank them! VodaBucks must be Banked by midnight on the Friday of each week or they will be lost. VodaBucks are valid for 12 months after you have Banked them. Bank and spend your VodaBucks before they expire. Don't let all your hard-earned VodaBucks go to waste. Your earned VodaBucks must be Banked every week, so they're kept safe for spending later. There are two ways to instantly Bank your VodaBucks:
1. On the VodaBucks store available VodaPay app, tap 'Bank'.
2. Dial *133# and follow the menu.

Convert VodaBucks to cash: You can convert your VodaBucks to cash paid into your VodaPay Wallet for you to use in the VodaPay app – perfect for buying Vodacom bundles or spending on VodaStore deals.

Shop in the VodaStore: From clothing to groceries to gadgets to restaurant vouchers, there are so many great deals to be found in the VodaStore. You can pay using a combo of cash and VodaBucks.

Buy more V-Ups: Loving those Daily V-Ups? If you’ve already used up your three free V-Ups for the day, you can buy more with your VodaBucks. Just 1VB gets you an additional V-Up – and a chance to unlock exciting deals.

Share your VodaBucks: Send VodaBucks and rewards to other Vodacom customers who’ve also signed up for the VodaBucks programme – a fun way to treat your fellow Vodacom friends and fam.

Withdraw your VodaBucks: Once you've converted your VodaBuck into cash in your VodaPay wallet, you can withdraw it at retailers like Pick n Pay, Boxer, KAZANG, OTT agents and Cash Express ATMs
