Managing data spend across a growing organisation is a constant challenge. Every department has different needs. Field teams rely on navigation apps, remote workers need video conferencing, and back-office staff depend on email and cloud storage.
Left unmanaged, data consumption can spiral, leading to overspend and unexpected out-of-bundle costs that erode your telecommunications budget.
Vodacom Business offers a practical solution: Business Tickets. These are category-specific data bundles that allocate connectivity to the apps your teams actually use, giving you precise control without sacrificing accessibility.
How Business Tickets work
Each ticket grants access to all applications within a specific category and is valid for a defined period.
Once-off tickets last 30 days, while recurring monthly tickets run for the calendar month. Both can be added to any existing Vodacom Business voice or data contract, and remain active even if you migrate plans mid-cycle.
Most importantly, tickets don’t draw from your general data allowance. They allocate a dedicated data pool to a defined set of applications, ensuring essential tools stay connected regardless of whether data is depleted elsewhere on the account. So even if staff run out of data for their personal use, business critical applications will remain connected with data from the specific Business Ticket.
Ticket categories
Tickets are available across these core categories for the applications your teams rely on daily:
- Collaboration. MS Teams, Zoom, Webex, Jabber
- Email and Email Plus. Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo Mail
- Navigation. Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze
- Cloud Storage. OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud
- Social. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest
This allows you to match data allocations to each department’s requirements. For example, a logistics team can be allocated a Navigation Ticket, and a communications team can receive a Collaboration bundle. Each ticket is appropriately sized and independently controlled.

Pricing that scales with your needs
Tickets are available in a range of bundle sizes to suit business needs. The Collaboration Ticket, for example, is offered in 10GB (R179), 20GB (R259), 50GB (R389), and 100GB (R649) options – all inclusive of VAT. Smaller, focused bundles such as Email (1GB at R59), Email Plus (2GB at R89), and Navigation (3GB at R99) provide cost-effective coverage for narrower use.
This tiered structure means you avoid both overspending and shortfalls.
Keeping costs predictable
The main advantage of Business Tickets is financial predictability. Because the data is restricted to the applications within each ticket’s category, you reduce the risk of misuse, for example, for recreational purposes.
Links that route users outside the included apps fall back to standard data tariffs, so general bundles and out-of-bundle charges are visible and controllable. This means fewer month-end surprises. Business tickets offer value for money.
