If you’re a stay-at-home mum, you’ll know that it’s a full-time job. And when your toddler is home for the holidays, it becomes even more challenging. Or, perhaps you’re a working mum who has taken time off from work to spend with her tot. But how to keep her entertained? Here are a few ideas – just in time for spring:
Fly a kite. When last did you watch a colourful kite flapping in the wind? This outdoor activity is great for warmer weather. If you’re feeling creative, you can even make the kite yourselves. All you’ll need is some material, scissors, a craft knife, tape, pens, a ruler, a rod and some string.
Go to a local museum - or two. Did you know that certain museums have free entry days? Find out which ones to visit in your area and enjoy a low-cost day out with your little one, while soaking up the culture.
Visit your local market. Markets have so much to offer – from food to clothing, books to toys. Your kiddie will love seeing so many different things in one place. Want to make it interesting? Give her a budget to stick to and see how she fares.
