Samsung’s newest Galaxy A32 came out recently and it brings new high-end features to a phone from the Galaxy A Series range for the first time. We’ve been testing for a while and here are our top 5 features you should know about before snapping one up.
Large, vibrant screen
The Galaxy A32 has a large 6.5-inch AMOLED HD+ screen that is ideal for the way we consume content today on social media. Videos and images appear sharp, crisp and vibrant. It has Samsung’s Infinity-V display with a minimal camera cut-out in the centre, providing you with maximum real estate for watching videos or playing games. The large screen has rounded edges, which is comfortable to hold.
Game Booster and 5G
The Galaxy A32 5G is powered by 2GHz octa-core processor with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. If you’re big on content creation or a gamer, the storage can be expanded up to a whopping 1TB via a microSD card. For the first time, you buy the Galaxy A32 in 5G for ultra-fast connectivity speeds on Vodacom, which also enables smooth gaming, streaming, and downloading. Game Booster will learn your usage patterns over time and maximise performance with smooth graphics, optimises battery, memory and controls temperature.
Quad-Cameras
The A32 packs in a quad-camera set-up with a 48MP main shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro camera and 2MP depth camera. The wide-angle lens shoots in 80-degrees and the ultra-wide goes up to 123-degrees, which is perfect to get the most into your shot for Instagram Stories or group shots.
The macro lens on the rear lets you apply bokeh effects for a more professional looking, blurred out background shot. If you love taking portrait or product shots, the depth camera lets you fine tune the blur to your liking.
The main rear video camera is a content creator’s dream as it is capable of shooting in 4K ultra-HD – 3840x2160 at 30fps. It can also shoot in slow motion at 120fps HD.
The A32 has a 32MP selfie-cam with bokeh effects that put your face in focus and blur the background.
Battery life
The A32 has a large 5000mAh battery, which was previously reserved for premium handsets. This massive battery will let you game for hours on end or watch your favourite shows on Netflix or YouTube. It also features a 15W adaptive fast charging feature, so you don’t even have to remember to charge your phone overnight anymore. Samsung says the A32 has enough power to last two full days or for continuous audio playback for 106 hours.
Finish and colours
The A32 has a minimalist design with dimensions of 164.2x76.1x9.1mm and weighs 205g. It has a USB-C connector, a 3.5mm audio jack and NFC features. The smartphone is available through Vodacom in either Awesome Blue or Awesome Black.
The Galaxy A32 5G is available on prepaid for R5999 or starting from R249 per month directly via the Vodacom website.
