Video Play Data Bundle and Video Ticket: What’s the difference

Vodacom Video Play and Video Ticket offer numerous ways to stream the latest movies and series.

As Vodacom we offer our customers numerous ways to stream movies, music and series, with Video Play and Video Ticket being our most popular.

Video Play is a Video on Demand product from Vodacom that allows you to watch the latest movies, series, kids shows and music videos wherever you are. You can purchase blockbuster movies for a once-off cost and don't have to be tied down to a monthly subscription. Video Tickets make it more affordable for you to stream movies, series and other video content on YouTube, VuClip Videos, DStv Now and Showmax. Tickets are valid for a certain period only and can be used for all the listed services. Watch the video below to learn more about the two.

Now let's take a closer look at what each product offers and how they differ:

Video Ticket

Video Tickets make it more affordable for you to stream movies, series and other video content on YouTube, VuClip Videos, DStv Now and Showmax. They are valid for a certain period only and can only be used for all the listed services.

How much does a Video Ticket cost?

You can buy a 100MB Ticket that is valid for one day for R5, a 250MB Ticket that is valid for one day for R8, a 750MB Ticket that is valid for a week for R35, or a 1GB Ticket that is valid for a full month for R60. You can't buy more than one Video Ticket at the same time.

Note that a one-hour bundle means 60 minutes from confirmation of purchase and a one-day bundle covers you until midnight on the day of purchase. These costs include data only and not subscriptions or access to various services.

If your Video Ticket is depleted while you are watching a video, the data will come from your anytime data bundle. After that, you will be charged according to your existing data tariff plan.
